Farina Named Chairman of Arthritis Research Institute’s Board of Directors
At its February 2009 quarterly meeting, the Arthritis Research Institute of America (ARIA) Board of Directors named Ed Farina, PhD, MBA, PT as its new chairman.

Farina is a longtime member of the board who has served as ARIA’s treasurer. He is the president and owner of Progressive Rehabilitation Agency, Inc., as well as the vice president of Sarasota Therapy Centers. Farina is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Florida Physical Therapy Association. His research has been published in the peer-reviewed journals Osteoarthritis and Cartilage and the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Since 1988, the Arthritis Research Institute of America (ARIA) has been studying thousands of participants to learn more about osteoarthritis.  The 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit research organization is based in Clearwater, FL, but its findings have been published worldwide.  ARIA’s x-ray database is globally acknowledged as one of the most complete sources of information about the progression of osteoarthritis.
