Help us Find the Key to Osteoarthritis Prevention
The Arthritis Research Institute (ARIA), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit research organization, needs office volunteers to assist researchers in solving the mystery of osteoarthritis:  who gets it and why. Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, affecting more than 27 million Americans today, according to the American College of Rheumatology. It involves the progressive wearing away of the smooth surface of cartilage covering the ends of bones, leading to pain and disability.

Volunteers of any age can choose from a variety of office tasks on flexible schedules. Tasks may include:

  • • Doing light office work such as making thank-you calls
    • Converting X rays into digital files
    • Assisting us in greeting participants during study days

Seniors of all ages are welcome. Call  (727) 461-4054 for information or email mhall@preventarthritis.org.

ARIA has been conducting osteoarthritis research in Clearwater, FL for more than two decades. Its research has been published in prestigious scientific journals such as Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, Rheumatology and The American Journal of Physical Therapy. For information, to volunteer or to make a tax-deductible donation to fund its research, call (727) 461-4054.
